This page provides an overview of the registration process and answers frequently asked questions.

If you have been sent the link to this page, you probably haven't read everything carefully.

• Completion of 18 years of age is required to participate in EAST. The cut-off date is the first day of the event.
• Payment for EAST is made in advance by bank transfer (more information on this under How do I pay). The payment deadline is two weeks from registration.
• If you attended EAST last year, your account will no longer work! A new registration and a new account are required for each event!

30 minutes before registration opens, you already have the opportunity to fill in your data in advance. A button will then appear automatically (see picture)

This button only appears 30 minutes before the start of registration!

This button takes you to the registration form, which you can fill out during this time:

After confirmation with „Next“, you can check your data again and set your visibility on the participant list.

At this point, you can also select whether you want to reserve a room. This selection does not guarantee you a free room!

When the countdown is over, you can press „Submit Registration“.

At this point, the dice are cast! The rooms are allocated in order and held for you for 24 hours each!

You will now receive a confirmation email with the access data in the next few minutes. You then have 24 hours to log in and confirm your registration. At this point, it does not matter whether you log in directly after receiving the email or an hour later. Either you can select a room in the system or you cannot. If you do not register within the 24 hours, your room reservation will automatically expire (if you had one) and go to the next person on the waiting list! Therefore, make sure you have entered your email address correctly . (For example, it should be @gmail.com - not .de!)

The participation fee for EAST must be transferred to our bank account within two weeks. You will automatically receive the bank details by email once you have registered in the system and completed the registration process. Please make sure you enter the correct purpose!

We have had a new bank account (Postbank) since 2019 - please make sure you do not use old transfer templates!

The stage ticket is a mandatory part of the participation fee and regulates access to our stage events. For legal reasons, we have to show this separately.

Please make sure that any fees incurred by the transfers are covered. These are borne solely by the participant.

In some cases, it may be necessary to provide the recipient's full address or even the bank's address.

The hotel is not paid in advance. You pay for the hotel upon departure, after EAST. Please do not transfer the costs for the hotel to us!

You can pay for the hotel on site either in cash, by Girocard (also known as „EC card“ in colloquial German), or by common credit cards (VISA/Mastercard).

We do not have a classic ticket, like you might still get for concerts. With your registration, we have everything we need from you. You only need to identify yourself on site with a valid photo ID and we will give you a small plastic card that entitles you to access and participate in the convention.

At our hotel, you always reserve an entire room. If you have reserved a room, your roommate does not need to do so. If you have both reserved a room, one of you must cancel the reservation so that you can connect as roommates!

The prices listed are for the entire room (unless it explicitly says „p.p.“ = per person). So 120 EUR per night would be 60 EUR per night for each person.

To connect as roommates, simply enter each other's registration numbers in the system.

Once you registered, you can either directly enter your roommate's ID (if you already know with whom you want to room with) or you can look for others who are looking for a room(-partner). You can offer a spot in your room as well:

The hotel has 290 rooms, each in different sizes. Rooms are assigned in order. There is no selection or claim to a specific room category!

If you occupy your room with three people, you will be accommodated (depending on availability) in a large (Superior) room. Please note the information on our website regarding occupancy for three people: https://www.sachsenfurs.de/en/east/terms/

Single rooms can not be selected by yourself - they are assigned in exceptional cases (such as disabilities) upon request (According to availability!). „I need a retreat from convention space“ is not a disability. In this case, may reconsider attending a convention with 600+ people.
